Swimming Gala Grade 9&10 21.1.2013-25.1.2013

ANNUAL INTER HOUSE SWIMMING MEET, 2012-13 (Grade 9 & 10)

This time the PE team decided to hold the inter house swimming competition separately for all the categories. The first one to come for the meet was the grades 9 & 10 before they enter into their mock exam days. The competition was held from 21^st to 25^th of January, 2013.

The girls and the boys of grade 9 & 10 formed to sub-categories in their age group. The boys participated in free style, backstroke, breast stroke, butterfly stroke and team relay whereas; the girls competed in all the above mentioned events except the butterfly stroke. This time inspite of the cold water condition the children enthusiastically participated to the best of their capabilities.

As per the positions secured and the points awarded in the individual and the team events in the boys category, Wimbledon house emerged as the winner and took everybody by surprise. It’s worth mentioning the name of Arman Talker a new face in SIS family of grade 9 and a champion in the making who made it happen for the Wimbledon house, Among the girls the PGA Tour house comfortably grabbed the number one position. The overall positions were PGA Tour on the top followed by Formula-1, Wimbledon and Grandmaster.

Christmas Muscial (14.12.2012)

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL

Christmas is a festival that belongs to the young and old. Everyone regardless of their age gets into the festive spirit. It’s that time of the year where everything around you suddenly changes into shades of green, red and gold. It is a season of music, food, gifts and colourful lights. Most importantly it is a time of togetherness, love, joy and peace.

On the 22^nd of December the students of SIS spread this true meaning of Christmas through their Christmas musical. The enactment and carols sung by the students had a magical impact, recreating the nativity scene in the school auditorium. The melodious voices of the students became one with the heavenly host and took us through the journey of Christ’s humble birth. The musical ended with a dance performance worshipping the savior.

After the musical parents witnessed the classroom presentations of their children. They later engaged themselves with fun activities arranged in the classroom. Christmas is not complete without Santa and his exciting gifts. The LPD students were thrilled to receive gifts from their secret Santa.

This festive day brought to an end the wonderful journey of the first term in school with a hope of a fruitful session in the New Year.
